How to Remove Sap From Your Hair

Hey cupcakes! Today I will be doing a quick post on a learning experience I had this weekend.... So, I was just chilling at an annual festival my town has. It was a gorgeous day, and I was having a blast! I got myself a hotdog and went to find some shade to sit in... I found this nice tree to lean on and enjoyed my food. When I stood up, I felt something sticky in my hair! Turns out there was a huge amount of sap that got on my hair!!!!! I rushed home and tried to remove it with shampoo and soap... and it didn't work!!!! I was freaking out and thought I'd have to cut out the sap, but thankfully I Googled what to do. Here's how I removed the sap from my hair:

1. Wet hair

2. Rub peanut butter on it (yes peanut butter!)

3. Heat with a hair dryer for a couple seconds

4. Wash with water and shampoo

5. Ta-da it's gone!!!!

So in conclusion, the oils from the peanut butter are one of the few things that will remove sticky sap from your hair! You might want to remember (or Pin for later) this in case you find yourself in a sticky situation like I did! :) Have a great day! <3

  1. Hehehe, you never know what can get stuck in your hair. Good, it was not some disgusting chewing gum. Will keep your tip in mind, just in case :)

  3. Luckily you got the sap out! I never lean on trees in fear that ants will crawl on me so I think i'm safe from this ever happening to me. I'll keep it in mind though :P thanks~
