Happy 2013! This post is devoted to what you can do when you have a minor fashion emergency that needs to be fixed quickly and discreetly!
If a button has started to become loose - Put some clear nail polish on it to help it stay until you get home and can sew it back on!
If you lose a button - Take the wire out of a twist tie, poke it through your clothing to secure the button, and tie in the back! No need to get out your needle and thread.
If you are in a rush to dry your nails - Spray them with nonstick cooking spray! This will allow the polish to dry while protecting it with an oily coat.
If your zipper gets stuck - Rub a graphite pencil or a candle over the zipper, this allows it to become unstuck!
If your zipper won't stay up - Use a small safety pin to hold it up! This allows the pin to take most of the gravitational force so your zipper will have to stay up.
If a hem comes undone - Use double sided tape or a stapler (staple from the inside out) to fix it. You can even use duct tape!
If your ring is too big - Attach a piece of the pad on a clip-on earring (or the pad on the bottom of furniture) to the inside of the ring to make it fit properly!
If the back of your earring comes off - Use the eraser from a pencil to secure your earring on!
If your bra straps keep coming off your shoulder - Use a paper clip to keep them secure and tight!
If your bra strap breaks - Use a small safety pin or some tape to keep it secure!
