N.Y.C and e.l.f Cosmetics: The Best Brands

My favorite makeup brands are N.Y.C (New York Color) and e.l.f (Eyes Lips Face). Both of these brands have amazing products that are amazing quality and WHOA, are only a few bucks. These brands sell products starting at $1! Today, I bought a double sided mascara from e.l.f for only a dollar- thats a great deal! Both of these brands can be found at the drugstore, Target, etc. and they work soooooo well! I never was really into the high end makeup because why pay $40 dollars for a lipstick when you can get a $2 lipstick from e.l.f??????????? I mean really, that is a no brainer because they work almost identically. You can still be beautiful without breaking the bank. :) Here are the links to there websites; please go check them out!

How To Have a Relaxing Bath

During the school year I always tend to be stressed about homework, tests, etc. I think baths are a great way to relax and let you drown all your stresses away. :) Here are some tips that I use to have the perfect relaxing bath:

1. Make sure the water is the right temperature, not too hot and not too cold.
2. Use bubble bath or bath bombs in relaxing scents such as lavender to help you clear your mind.
3. Listen to relaxing music (I have a Nature Sounds channel on my Pandora radio account!)
4. Don't think about anything in the bath; no homework, things you have to get done, etc.
5. Give yourself enough time to enjoy yourself in the tub. You don't want to use all that water for a 10 minute soak!

My New Wax Warmer!

I have been obsessing over wax tart warmers for the past month now and have been shopping around online. I wanted something like a Scentsy from Scentsy.com but I wanted something cheaper that I could buy at a store. I found the perfect thing at Target!!! This white ceramic electric wax warmer is so precious! I got it for $16.99 and it works so well! All you need to do is buy wax tarts (these can be found at any candle store and look like scalloped candles without wicks), place them in the dish above the lightbulb, and turn the switch on. The lightbulb heats up the wax and it gives off yummy scents just like a candle when it is melting. Right now my room smells like vanilla frosting. :) I recommend you all buy one of these instead of buying tons of expensive candles.... It's safer too!!!!!! If you have any questions about wax tart warmers, please feel free to leave a comment below. <3

Products I Regret Buying

This post will be specifically on products that I regret buying. This is all my opinion so I'm not trying to tell you to not buy the products, I'm just saying that they didn't work for me.

1. Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo - I have a scalp condition and a hairstylist recommended this. It did NOT work. It made my hair really disgusting and dried out my scalp so I got dandruff on top of the condition I already had. *I now use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo which is amazing and makes my hair look like it doesn't have a condition.*
2. Clearasil Daily Face Wash - My skin is prone to breaking out so I tried this face wash. For my skin, it made it break out even more and made my skin super dry. *I now use Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit facial cleanser which clears away all of my blemishes and keeps it that way!*
3. ColorMates High Shine Lipgloss - I bought this at Big Lots for only $1. It came with lip liner that I do like... But, this lipgloss is terrible! It doesn't go onto your lips smoothly and it is a very orangey color.
4. Claire's Chunky Blue Nail Polish - I picked out this nail polish because the color is so pretty and it has huge chunks of glitter! The nail polish stained my nails a gross blue that took forever to get off!!! Also, the glitter pieces got stuck to the nail... :(

5. Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz Nail Polish - I got this nail color on sale at Walgreen's for only $.75! It looks like a very deep purple, but really it goes on very sheer. To get the same effect as the picture, you need to put on 3-4 coats. I wish I hadn't bought this shade.
6. Aeropostale Nail Polish - I know this is a very broad category but I HATE Aero nail polishes. I got the holiday pack in the picture so thankfully I didn't waste the money. The nail polishes smell sooo bad!!!!! Also, if you get the small ones, the brushes are all squished because they are so small. I suggest not buying this brand.
7. ColorMates Lipstick - In my recent Dollar Tree Haul I got this item. I bought it for the lipliner and I didn't realize the brand was ColorMates. The lipstick isn't a very nice color and it doesn't apply very well. I should stay away from this brand..... :/
8. Claire's Evil Queen Nail Polish - Sorry for another nail polish but I just had to add this to the list. I got this nail polish on sale for $2.50 and it looks black and sparkly on the outside. It looked really pretty, but when you put it on it is a GROSS color that looks like gak. I am not a fan. To get the same looks as the picture, you would need multiple coats.
