How To Spice Up a School Uniform

If you go to a school that requires a uniform, you may feel like you are being restricted from fashion... Here are some tips to make that uniform fit YOUR style!
  • Make your hairstyle as wild and crazy as the rules allow. You can use barrettes, hair pins, etc. to make some great hair. Try to wear things that are original.
  • If you have to wear a tie, try tying it in a cool way.
  • Wear some jewelry that fits your fashion sense!
  • Decorate your backpack- pins, iron-ons, fabric, ANYTHING.
    • Decorate your locker and school supplies to have the fab look wherever you go also.
  • Buy fun shoes. If you have to wear a certain shoe, use colorful laces to make a statement.
  • Wear cute tank tops under the uniform shirt.
  • Change up your belt every couple of days.
  • Wear some makeup!
  • Do your nails with a solid color or some nail art (if the rules allow!).

Fashion is like a Cupcake

I believe fashion is like a cupcake; a delicious, unique cupcake is given a wrapper and frosting to make it stand out. A human puts on clothes, jewelry, and makeup to be an individual. Even if you take off their frosting, there is an amazing person underneath. Hence the name, Chic Cupcake. :)

Cheap Shopping

Tips for shopping on a budget:
1. Always look at the sale/clearance items first! You can find some great items!
2. Look online or get coupon books so you can save precious money. ;)
3. Shop at thrift stores (Goodwill, antique stores, etc.), flea markets, and garage sales; one woman's trash might be your (ChEaP) treasure.
4. Great cheap online stores:
5. Buy basics (neutrals, jeans, plain shirts, etc.) before spending money on those heels you don't really need.
6. Have a clothing swap party with your friends!

Wish bag #1

Thrifty Jewelry

I'm always complaining I don't have enough jewelry but then can't afford to buy any new pieces for my wardrobe (it sucks being job-less!). I came up with the perfect solution; make some! My artistic side has come out and using beads, polymer clay, chain, etc. I have made tons of artistic pieces of jewelry that add some "cute" to any outfit. Who wouldn't take the cheap way out when unique style is in play?? I love wearing things such as food earrings, mustache rings, and gummy bear necklaces and some of the things I make turn out better than things you can buy at Claire's for like $8.50. Jewelry supplies can be cheap and it feels amazing to know you are wearing something no one else has. Be creative! <3
