My Halloween Costume!

Hey everyone! This year for Halloween I am not going to go trick or treating or hand out candy... :( I have a school event I have to go to.. BUT my choir is going to go to the local children's museum on the 28th where we are going to carve pumpkins, sing Halloween songs, etc. etc. So yayyyyyy I still get to dress up!!! This year I am going to be........ Little Red Riding Hood!
I am going to wear this costume with no tights but am going to wear another black skirt under the costume to make the costume not so sex appealish and also to give it a more petticoat vibe. :) I will wear black flats and am either gonna keep my makeup really simple so it is innocent girlish or I'm gonna have a huge scrap across my face (to make it seem like the wolf got me!)... Any opinions???

Rav: geoGiRL Lip Treatment

I have been searching and searching and searching everywhere for a cheap but good quality lip scrub/treatment for the past month. I was in Walmart last week and I just happened to stop at the Clearance section. A whole bunch of makeup from geoGiRL brand was on sale and my eye got caught on the Tonight Lip Treatment... Which was only $1 (originally $5.39)!!!!!! Of course I bought it and it is AMAZING!
You put this balm on before you go to bed and when you wake up, your lips are smooth and totally moisturized! It smells like lavendar and goes on clear without clumps. Also, geoGiRL is made with no fake crap like other makeup so you don't feel guilty about using chemicals on your lips. Go check out this amazing brand!!!!! <3

I <3 Fall Tag!

Hey everyone! Today was such a windy, gorgeous, fall day that I decided to do something fall related; a fall tag! October is my favorite month and fall is my favorite season so I am SO excited for this season. :) Let's jump right in to this tag (too bad it's not leaves):

1. Favorite Fall lip product?
I have been loving the 8HR City Proof lipgloss from N.Y.C. in the shade 'Round the Clock Ruby'. It is the perfect pigmented red for this coming red trend!

2. Favorite Fall nail polish?
My favorite nail trend is the Sally Hansen Salon Effects... They have really cute Halloween and pumpkin related designs... perfect for fall!

3. Favorite Fall Starbucks drink?
I'm don't drink coffee so I guess the hot chocolate or apple cider. I'm more of a pumpkin spice, apple cider, or old-fashioned donut type person. :)

4. Favorite Fall candle?
I have been melting an apple pie wax tart in my wax warmer. I bought it at a local store so it is hand poured and smells SOOOO yummy! Also, it was only $0.99!

5. Favorite Fall scarf or accessory?
I'm really into boots and jewelry this fall.... Not really a scarf person.

6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze?
I hate getting scared! But I guess a haunted hay ride......

7. Favorite Halloween movie?
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow/Icabod! Its a cartoon but I watch it every year with my family.

8. Favorite candy to eat on Halloween?
Candy corn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or banana Laffy Taffy

9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?
Probably a cat for the fourth year running.... I'm not gonna go trick or treating but am having Halloween party! Yay!

10. What is your favorite thing about fall?
Fall is amazing because it is a time to be with family. I love apple, pumpkin, spice, and candy scents and fall is such a "cozy" season. It's so fun to go on hay rides and pick pumpkins and apples and to bake yummy goodies with your mom and siblings(I just made cupcakes that are dyed so the inside looks like candy corn). I also love the leaves, wind, and rain, and also all the fall fashion, makeup, and beauty trends. Caramel apples, carving pumpkins, frolicking with vampires on Halloween... What isn't great about fall? Fall is just AWESOME!! :D :) :P
Thanks for reading and please follow me! Trying to get to 50 follower by the end of November so spread the word!!!

N.Y.C and e.l.f Cosmetics: The Best Brands

My favorite makeup brands are N.Y.C (New York Color) and e.l.f (Eyes Lips Face). Both of these brands have amazing products that are amazing quality and WHOA, are only a few bucks. These brands sell products starting at $1! Today, I bought a double sided mascara from e.l.f for only a dollar- thats a great deal! Both of these brands can be found at the drugstore, Target, etc. and they work soooooo well! I never was really into the high end makeup because why pay $40 dollars for a lipstick when you can get a $2 lipstick from e.l.f??????????? I mean really, that is a no brainer because they work almost identically. You can still be beautiful without breaking the bank. :) Here are the links to there websites; please go check them out!

How To Have a Relaxing Bath

During the school year I always tend to be stressed about homework, tests, etc. I think baths are a great way to relax and let you drown all your stresses away. :) Here are some tips that I use to have the perfect relaxing bath:

1. Make sure the water is the right temperature, not too hot and not too cold.
2. Use bubble bath or bath bombs in relaxing scents such as lavender to help you clear your mind.
3. Listen to relaxing music (I have a Nature Sounds channel on my Pandora radio account!)
4. Don't think about anything in the bath; no homework, things you have to get done, etc.
5. Give yourself enough time to enjoy yourself in the tub. You don't want to use all that water for a 10 minute soak!

My New Wax Warmer!

I have been obsessing over wax tart warmers for the past month now and have been shopping around online. I wanted something like a Scentsy from Scentsy.com but I wanted something cheaper that I could buy at a store. I found the perfect thing at Target!!! This white ceramic electric wax warmer is so precious! I got it for $16.99 and it works so well! All you need to do is buy wax tarts (these can be found at any candle store and look like scalloped candles without wicks), place them in the dish above the lightbulb, and turn the switch on. The lightbulb heats up the wax and it gives off yummy scents just like a candle when it is melting. Right now my room smells like vanilla frosting. :) I recommend you all buy one of these instead of buying tons of expensive candles.... It's safer too!!!!!! If you have any questions about wax tart warmers, please feel free to leave a comment below. <3

Products I Regret Buying

This post will be specifically on products that I regret buying. This is all my opinion so I'm not trying to tell you to not buy the products, I'm just saying that they didn't work for me.

1. Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo - I have a scalp condition and a hairstylist recommended this. It did NOT work. It made my hair really disgusting and dried out my scalp so I got dandruff on top of the condition I already had. *I now use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo which is amazing and makes my hair look like it doesn't have a condition.*
2. Clearasil Daily Face Wash - My skin is prone to breaking out so I tried this face wash. For my skin, it made it break out even more and made my skin super dry. *I now use Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit facial cleanser which clears away all of my blemishes and keeps it that way!*
3. ColorMates High Shine Lipgloss - I bought this at Big Lots for only $1. It came with lip liner that I do like... But, this lipgloss is terrible! It doesn't go onto your lips smoothly and it is a very orangey color.
4. Claire's Chunky Blue Nail Polish - I picked out this nail polish because the color is so pretty and it has huge chunks of glitter! The nail polish stained my nails a gross blue that took forever to get off!!! Also, the glitter pieces got stuck to the nail... :(

5. Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz Nail Polish - I got this nail color on sale at Walgreen's for only $.75! It looks like a very deep purple, but really it goes on very sheer. To get the same effect as the picture, you need to put on 3-4 coats. I wish I hadn't bought this shade.
6. Aeropostale Nail Polish - I know this is a very broad category but I HATE Aero nail polishes. I got the holiday pack in the picture so thankfully I didn't waste the money. The nail polishes smell sooo bad!!!!! Also, if you get the small ones, the brushes are all squished because they are so small. I suggest not buying this brand.
7. ColorMates Lipstick - In my recent Dollar Tree Haul I got this item. I bought it for the lipliner and I didn't realize the brand was ColorMates. The lipstick isn't a very nice color and it doesn't apply very well. I should stay away from this brand..... :/
8. Claire's Evil Queen Nail Polish - Sorry for another nail polish but I just had to add this to the list. I got this nail polish on sale for $2.50 and it looks black and sparkly on the outside. It looked really pretty, but when you put it on it is a GROSS color that looks like gak. I am not a fan. To get the same looks as the picture, you would need multiple coats.

How To Apply Liquid Eyeliner

To apply liquid eyeliner, line the eye from the inside of the lashes outward in one big sweep. You can also line the eye from the middle of the lash line outward, then finish the line from the inner corner of the eye to the middle.

Here is another trick:
-Start with a completely bare eye.
-On the upper lashes, dot the liquid liner into the spaces between the lashes, wiggling the liner into the lashes. The result is not supposed to be a line. It's supposed to look as if the lashes themselves are super thick at the root.
-Apply mascara.

My Top Ten Shopping Tips :)

1. Make a list of what you really need before you go. This will help you not spend any extra money.

2. Look online before you go buy an item. Chances are another stores sells it for cheaper!

3. Look on websites like eBay, GoFavor, etc. when shopping for jewelry. You can find jewelry for $2 when they are $8 at Claire's.

4. Shop with a friend. Don't let the funky lighting in the dressing rooms make you buy tons more clothes. Ask your friend for her opinions.

5. Time out your buys. Make sure you buy an item when it is on sale or wait for it to be on sale. Nothing is worse than buying an item and it going on sale the next day!!!

6. Go to your favorite store's websites and sign up for emails. They will send you what sales are going on and sometimes even coupons. :)

7. If the website doesn't send out coupons, try to find them online.

8. Before going on a fashion spree, make sure you know what you have in your closet so you don't rebuy what you already have. Also, research the products before you buy them. Reviews on blogs will always be honest opinions.

9. Carry some food with you. Shopping takes energy! Make sure you don't get grumpy by snacking before you try things on.

10. Have fun! You can't be successful when you shop if you aren't enjoying yourself! <3

Seventeen September 2012 Review

*Cover stars: Kendall and Kylie Jenners
*New Trends: stripes, plaid, dots, faux fur, and cable knits.
*Best Article: I really enjoyed the 30 Days of Amazing Style article which included 30 outfit ideas for school. This will help me when I need some new inspiration!
*Least Fav Article: I did not care for the 'Fashion Friends' article about cliques and who should wear what. Everyone is an individual and doesn't have to fit in a clique.

Fashion style: Gothic

The Gothic style is simple: punk and black. Being goth and the style gothic is a totally different thing. The style gothic/goth is when you wear something punky that gives your outfit a totally awesome edge. If you are tired of always having totally girly outfits, add a goth necklace or bracelet to set yourself apart from everyone else. Dressing with an edge makes you unique! :)
